Middle- school game play
Tournament format (8 teams)
- Minimum 10 players
- Game Length: Two 12-minute halves with a 2-minute halftime.
- Sidelines: Minimum 1 adult required per sideline.
- Players on Field: 7 total (6 field + 1 goalie).
- Long Poles: Maximum of 3 on the field at once.
- Timeouts: 1 per game (30 seconds).
- No timeouts allowed in the last 2 minutes of either half.
- Subbing:
- On-the-fly substitutions allowed, but exiting players must be fully off before a new player enters.
- Players may sub through the box during live-ball possessions.
Game Flow
- Faceoffs: Only at the start of the game and after halftime.
- Out of Bounds: Treated like a shot-back rule—ball is awarded to the team that didn’t touch it last.
- Restart After Goal: Ref signals the goal, goalie resets inside the crease, then whistle restarts play.
- Advancing the Ball:
- Goalie has 4 seconds to clear the crease.
- Team has 10 seconds to cross midfield.
- Once across, possession cannot return over midfield.
- No Shot Clock.
- Overtime: If tied after regulation → shootout.
- Each team sends 3 players, alternating attempts from midfield.
- If tied after 3 rounds, teams alternate shooters until the sudden-death winner is determined.
Penalties
- Standard field lacrosse penalties apply, with emphasis on:
- Penalized player sent to bench with sub allowed.
- No body checks (focus on finesse & stick skills).
- No talking to officials.
- Maximum 5 personal fouls per player for the entire tournament.
- Standard protective equipment required (cleats/turf shoes recommended).
High School game play

- Two fields, 30-minute game cadence starting at 10:00 AM.
- Double-Elimination Rule:
- Teams are eliminated after two losses.
- Exception: the first four teams to go 0–2 will enter the Toilet Bowl, a 4-team consolation bracket (two semifinals → final).
